As you may have noticed in my previous post, I had a pretty good weekend thrift haul. For today's Fashion Challenge I wanted to highlight my favorite find: my thrifted vintage Ray Ban Wayfarer IIs.
I'm not sure how to describe the feeling I had when I came across these. I just happened to be looking for a pair of John-Lennon-esque round sunnies when I stepped to the side just enough for the Ray Ban logo to catch my eye. I literally got the shakes. I pulled them out of the fixture so quickly that the employees probably thought I was nuts. I gave them a quick once-over and could tell that they were indeed authentic. The weight felt so good in my hands.
I've been lusting for a pair of new Ray Ban wayfarers for some time, but given my awesome skill of losing sunglasses, I wasn't willing to spend the cash. And here I am, just a short time later, owning a pair of golden tortoiseshell's for only four dollars.
You heard (read) me right. Four. Dollars.
I'm so jealous over those Ray Bans! I tried to post a comment on your thrift share post but no dice. Something is really wonky. I can't put in word verification. Just in case you were wondering why your not getting any comment! Lets see if this one works..........
