Bolo and Bowler

The bolo tie that I bought on Saturday was really burning a hole in my, um, jewelry box (?). I so badly wanted to bust it out for today's outfit and I did just that. What do you think?

This cute little GIF by Hello Happy Soul popped up on my Tumblr dashboard and I just think it's the cutest thing! Do you have any big plans for August? I'm sure we are going to be sitting through more hot days. Something that's kind of big news in my world is that Geoffrey and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary in just a few days! I can't believe it — in more ways than one! On one hand I felt like we've known each other forever and on the other it all still fews new and cute. I suppose that's the best way to feel, right?

I've owned these Vans Sophie Saddles for a while but this is the first time I've worn them. While I love them, they don't fit me well and are too small! It's really a bummer. They're a women's US6.5 (I normally wear a 7), but they fit more like a 6. The toes are cut rather narrow which is what makes them too snug. I also own them in royal blue, and have been thinking about selling them because of the sizing. Would anybody like these babies?

I love my big ol' doe eyes in this shot. I've been hanging onto this vintage silk shirt for almost a year now. It's just a tad too big for me but I adore the pattern. I decided to pair it with the women's golf shorts that I picked up in last weekend's thrift haul. I shortened them just a couple of inches. I like how the blue pops! Oh, and I can easily say that I may just be bolo-addicted now.
