Peachy Dream

If you're keeping up with my blog, you probably know that I went thrifting with my mother today! The weather wasn't as bad as it has been lately — I mean, it was rainy and grey, but a little bit cooler. We started early and were able to squeeze in two shops, milkshakes, and the grocery store. Woohoo!

I picked up a few new things, including some new white wedges, a couple of new pleated skirts, some slips, and a super soft faux leather jacket. It will be a few months before I can break out the new jacket, but I'm planning on studding it out a bit before I wear it anyway.

But I think that my favorite thing from today's haul was this vintage silk nightgown. The tag is very old and sports and early Sears logo. When I showed it to mom, she agreed that it is pretty but insisted that I would not be able to wear it as a dress. Over and over I kindly disagreed with her, and I'm sure that these photos prove that you can turn a nightgown into a super sweet (and dreamy...) dress! I adore the waist detailing! What do you think?

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I have a serious sweet tooth. I know that this is a totally different subject, but have you experienced Turkey Hill Ice Cream? Geoff introduced this brand to me when we first started hanging out and I've been hooked ever since. The best part is that every month they release a limited edition flavor! While at the store today, I picked up the new one, which is Whoopie Pie. Can I just tell you how excited I am? In previous months we have enjoyed apple cobbler, cookies and coffee, box of chocolates, and many more. If you have this product near you, I recommend checking it out!

I randomly found this lime(ish) green garage on our walk today! I love how it pops with the peachy nightgown/dress.
