I will go ahead and say that my first Birchbox was a total success. Turns out I ended up loving a few things that were included in my box. Some of there are so awesome that I want to spread the info onto you and hopefully you can have great results as well! See the full review after the jump.
▲ Befine Exfoliating Cleanser — I waited until just before bedtime to use this last evening. I wasn't sure what to expect, but opened it to find the most wonderful, clean scent. The consistency was (try and imagine this) sort of like if you had mixed honey with sand. It sounds strange, yes, but was oh-so-effective. I gently worked this exfoliant into my skin and rinsed it off. Immediately I could I tell a difference in my skin. It was unbelievably clean, smooth, and firm. This product is $25 for 4oz on Birchbox's website, but I'm heavily contemplating buy it!
▲ Befine Night Cream — I used this moisturizer directly after the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser. It's not at all oily and is really smooth and light. There wasnt much of a small, which is fine by me! It also felt cooling on my skin and won me over in the night cream category! Even though I do like this one, it is $30 for 1.7oz, so I will most likely bump it a little lower on my 'want' list.
▲ Blinc Mascara — I struggle with mascara. Not putting it on, trying new kinds, or any of that stuff — it's just that I have a hard time finding one that I really like. Sometimes I find a great one and come to find out that x brand is discontinuing it to replace it with the new and shiny ultra-lengthening, ultra-volume mascara that has ads of supermodels wearing false lashes anyway. Totally a bummer, right? I work a fairly physical job, and even though I sling boxes of merchandise around all day, I like to look and feel pretty. I never skip mascara. But there are days where my mascara wants to smudge under my eye a bit or be a pain in the butt during the summer heat. In comes Blinc. I was a little weirded out by the wording on the packaging yesterday, but tried this stuff for the first time this morning. I put it on at 6am and here I am 16 hours later and smudge-free! There's not a bit of flaking. My favorite part, though? The formula is so smooth that it went on without a single clump. I didn't know that mascara could be this good! I've never spent more than $10 on mascara, but I think I might pick up this miracle makeup for $24 in the near future.
▲Twistband hair ties — I've also been wearing the hair tie all day and show very minimal creasing. It's not nearly as bad as traditional hair ties!
And if anyone decides that they want to sign up for Birchbox, let me know so I can send you a referral! Another great thing is that when you refer people, you get points which ten translates to free moneys at the online store. Great, right? So I invite you, and then you invite more people, and the cycle just keeps going and going!
If any of my readers get Birchbox, I'd love to hear about what was in yours! Did you fall in love with any of the products?
