Mallrats

Today we did the unthinkable — we went to the mall! This is something that we rarely ever do. In fact, I don't really like the mall that much. I've work in a few malls and just being in them gives me the feeling of 30-minute lunch breaks in the food court. But every once in a while, it's nice to go window shopping with little to no intention to buy.



We stopped in Anthropologie, per usual, to admire all of their great displays. They had built some insane globe-like tent in the middle of the store and used it as a room set-up. Crazy! My favorite part of the day, though, had to be when we went into Aldo. I was carrying this bag with me today and I heard one of the salespeople whisper to another "I love her bag!" to which the other employee responded "Me, too — it's from Prada!" I contained my giggling just a little bit, because of course I knew that I picked it up at a thrift store for $3 (and it is not Prada!). I really don't even know if they make something similar, but I took it as a compliment nonetheless.


I picked up these bracelets today at Forever 21. Normally, I stay out of that cluttered store, but a coworker had the top silver one and I wanted to pick one up for myself. Sure, they're be simple to make, but these are elastic and were only $4 each. You can get them here.


It's raining on and off today, and I'm about to head into work for an all-store meeting. It's not my favorite way to spend my Sunday, but there are some new employees I haven't met yet and I love new faces. I'm sure there will be some sort of cookies and silliness to keep me entertained for a couple of hours.
