Stanley Nickels

Today was awesome! My friend Stan is in town from Santa Monica and after work I made some jewelry and then met up with him for lunch and hangouts. We had great fun and he was so sweet and took my outfit photos for me! He did a great job, don't you think?

The temperature was nice today and we just had a few sprinkles of rain. We walked around the Short North and enjoyed the weather. I decided to stay a bit comfy since I figured we'd be goofing around!

Stan and I used to work at Apple together. We've always gotten along super well and he's a huge sweetheart. Roughly two years ago, he moved to California and I hadn't seen him since! Today was definitely a perfect day for catching up. We stopped first for lunch at Northstar CafĂ©. They have a super delicious "burger" made with beets, rice, and black beans — I haven't had one in a while, so I didn't pass it up.

Afterwards, we went to Jeni's Ice Cream. I know I bring 'em up a lot, but that's because this ice cream is the closest to nirvana that anyone can get to. I had two scoops of Goat Cheese and Cherry for good measure. ;)

We spent a good amount of time playing at the playground in the nearby Goodale Park. It was a little spontaneous and, of course, lots of giggles were had. We also visited my pal Kelley as she made martinis for her customers at the bar where she works. Her birthday is on Friday, so we're probably going to hang out tomorrow night. Excited!
