I'm totally loving our weather right now. I'm getting so excited to fill my closet (and
Etsy shop!) with lots of cozy goodies. I'm so excited about many things right now — often I find myself in little giddy moments and sort of stumble over myself. I'm somewhat like a very optimistic and curious teenager is a 24-year-old's body. Whoops!
I noticed today that the oh-so beautiful Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky posted this little tweet today. It's so humbling sometimes — I still consider myself new to the blogging world (and at times it can be very intimidating!) and I have felt so welcomed. It's really, really wonderful and I'm so happy. If you don't follow Delightfully Tacky yet, you should hop over and check her out! I started following her a while back because of Brave (click — you will not regret it!) and she certainly contributed to my dreams of going cross country in a camper. So thank you so much to Elizabeth for the shout out!
Geoff was having some sort of stomach bug last night into early this morning, so we stayed around the apartment until the afternoon. After he was feeling better, we hit up the Short North for what was supposed to be some sort of art event. There wasn't much going on at all while we were walking, but the temperature was nice and it was easier to experience the shops without the rush of Gallery Hop patrons all around.
I begged (it really didn't take much convincing) Geoff to stop at Jeni's Ice Cream. I think at this point (especially in the foodie world), Jeni's is becoming pretty well known for their amazing and creative ice cream flavors. Jeni's started here in Columbus and is hands-down the best ice cream I have ever tasted. It's a little pricey, but darn worth it. If you're ever in Columbus, or live near one these places, I highly recommend you give 'em a try. I recommend the Goat Cheese and Cherry, the Gravel Road, and the Poached Pear Sorbet. They even recently came out with a cookbook for those of you who have an ice cream maker. Yum!
Today I enjoyed three scoops — the Goat Cheese & Cherry (my favorite!), the Dark Chocolate Gelato (Geoff makes fun of me for getting chocolate at a place with so many unique flavors, but this is seriously the best chocolate ever), and Sweet Corn with Black Raspberry. The sweet corn ice cream was really quite good — and I didn't think it was going to be bad, I was just surprised at how much I enjoyed it!

We basically moseyed around for a while, passing some interesting street art, seeing some stores, and hitting up Tigertree again. The had their Pendleton Portland Collection out in full force and I was pretty much swooning.
I picked up this new lipstick today. I was really desiring some pink and didn't want to wait for anything to come in the post, so I grabbed this at the drugstore. Heck, I even had a coupon (hah!). It's the Covergirl Lip Perfection in Enchantress. With my false lashes, I totally felt like I had Barbie makeup, but for some reason I was rather digging it. I'll probably do a nice review on it for you this week. Also, I wish I could curl my hair every day of the year! I can't wait until my hair is super-long. Patience!
Currently we have all the windows open, Kitty's listening to some crickets, and Geoff's trying to beat some cute new iPhone game he downloaded. We really have no idea what we'll be up to tomorrow (except for he fact that I have to go to a store meeting for work late at night). I guess we'll see what happens!

Oh, and for fun, here's a picture of me doing my impression of our cat. Don't ask!
