Given the Green Light

TGIF! This week has flown by for me and I have to apologize for not doing as many outfit posts as normal. I've been so wrapped up in this process of finding an apartment in Chicago, packing, photographing, and listing for sale items that my days are packed.

But the exciting news is that I finally got in touch with the property owner of the apartment I've been lusting after and am submitting my application tonight! Fingers crossed!

Yesterday my good friend Shawn and I met up to go to eighties night. I've mentioned him recently (specifically in the Steve Jobs post) and had totally forgotten that he was in town from Los Angeles this week. We had to walk around in the rain a little (hence the frizzy hair), but eventually got settled in and caught up.

Of course it wouldn't be eighties night without some crazy dancing. We didn't stay out terribly late but still had an awesome time. It's probably going to be the last time I see Shawn for a little while considering my move is quickly approaching.

As for today's outfit, I paired a little animal print with this great forrest green skirt that I picked up at the Columbus Fall Flea last weekend. It's beautiful and a little heavier than my other skirts, so I can see myself wearing this beauty throughout the winter.

Tomorrow is the Craftin' Outlaws craft show at the Gateway Theatre. Afterwards we're probably going to check out some antique malls or thrift stores and then maybe enjoy the afternoon in the Short North. What are you getting into?

Leopard crop top, thrift + DIY
Banjo necklace, thrifted
Woven stretch belt, thrifted
