A Long Time Ago

In a galaxy far, far away... wait, sorry.

Today was pretty awesome. And yes, yes, I know that I'm getting around to this outfit post pretty late. It's certainly past my bedtime! Either way, I wanted to share today's get up and this awesome new item in my Etsy shop. I'll start off with the Instagram shots from our adventure.

First up, I bought new nail polish yesterday and it's so pretty that I have to share. At work we got in a color called Blood and I was majorly inspired to do my nails in a deep red. I know it's not terribly exciting, but I found this color at the drug store that is a similar shade but with a bit of flake. It's Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Quick Brick. Love it!

We headed to the Gateway (i.e.: the lower OSU campus area) for Craftin' Outlaws. Craftin' Outlaws is an alternative craft fair that I've been to almost every year since it started in 2005. I didn't take any photos, but it was a nice show with lots of great things to offer. I didn't end up buying anything, but did see a few items from Bandito Design Co that I like. I plan on picking up some new prints before moving to Chicago! Fun!

Afterwards, Geoff and I went on a little shopping adventure on the South Side of Columbus. It's a really weird part of town, but they have a few small antique malls and such that are worth the visit.

My favorite find of the day is this 1960s Pendleton Coat. It's absolutely beautiful.

I picked it up initially kind of saying, "Oh, Geoff, look at this cute little coat," and mid-sentence gasped — I noticed it was Pendleton and was overrun with joy. I adore the new Pendleton Portland Collection, but certainly can't shell out hundreds of dollars for single pieces. This wool coat is going to be great for my move to Chicago!

So the new item in my Etsy Shop tonight is this awesome high-low cut velvet cardigan (I guess you can call it a cardigan? Or a very light jacket?). It has a silver star-and-crescent-moon pattern all over it. It's certainly unique and fun. You can see it in my shop here.

I know the galaxy trend is huge right now, and I've been lucky enough to come across a few similar prints while thrifting. I grabbed this shirt at the thrift store last weekend and it's just the right amount of sheer.
