TGIF! Geoff and I started out the day by sleeping in — something I haven't done in a long, long time. Being a bit lazy was nice and relaxing. We all need those types of mornings, right?




I had nabbed a Groupon for a little sandwich place called Melt. We hit it up for lunch and were happily surprised with how cozy the atmosphere was and the tasty sandwich options. I ended up with a nice turkey melt (The Istanbul) and Geoff with a vegetarian option (The Provence). Both were delicious and I hope that I get to go back sometime and try the other sammies!

The rest of the day was really chill. We walked around Wicker Park and went into some shops here and there. Nothing too major. At night, we met up with some friends for birthday drinks and finished it all off with late-night burritos. Perfect!


Today we've encountered more goodies (which I will share either tonight or tomorrow) and are planning to hit up a holiday lights display at the Lincoln Park Zoo. What do you have planned for your weekend?
