Looks Like Rain

This week has completely flown by. Luckily I have a three day weekend, but sheesh. I wandered down to the Wicker Park Fest yesterday and to my dismay, my friends had to cancel. There was a lot of people watching to be had, but I didn't want to sit in the sun, so I decided to shop around a little bit instead. See more images after the jump.

I find it difficult to avoid Urban Outfitters, especially since they were having an extra 30% off of their sale merchandise. Well, I spotted these leggings (which I had been looking at online but didn't want to buy until I saw them in person) and thought I knew what love was — that is until I went upstairs to the sale section.

I knew the pink Jeffrey Campbell cat box from a mile away. Kelley and Lauren have been giving me some greif this season over my neon yellow obsession, so you can imagine my feeling when I opened the box and saw these babes. They were the only pair available (they were returned from an online purchase) and it was fate.

They were marked $9.99, so I stopped an associate to have her price check them — after working years in retail I know that those little stickers can sometimes be placed where they don't belong. She verified that they were in fact only $9.99 and that the additional sale would make them $7. I clutched that box in my little arms and didn't let it go until it was time to check out!

As for the rest of Wicker Park Fest, it was pretty bland. There was one thing that I specifically wanted to see — The Drums play at 8:30. I stuck around and watched maybe half of their set and decided to bail. There were too many pushing teenagers and I was too tired to deal with it. The Drums sounded really good, I just wish I could see them in a 21+ venue and not during a free street festival.

So, yes, these leggings also. I love them and I think I'm going to pick up the rose version as well. They're just comfy cotton (perfect for my lazy day today!) and have a fun weather print. While walking to Kuma's with Lauren for lunch today, a guy passed us and remarked on how much he "liked my Black Milks" (queue eye roll). I felt compelled to inform him that Black Milk didn't invent graphic prints, but instead just responded with "Thank you, but they aren't Black Milk" and kept going. Ugh.

So, like I said, I have a three day weekend! I'm pretty excited for August and my trip to Philadelphia at the end of the month, so I've been planning pretty heavy!
