Red, White, and Lichtenstein

I have been looking forward to checking out the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago for some time. Since today was a free day (and since Lauren has never been there), we decided to go down today for the Fourth of July. The museum was so busy, but the exhibit was amazing and worth it!

It was over 100°F today and perusing the museum was a great way to get out of the heat. I'm a big fan of free days and the crowd wasn't overbearing.

The Lichtenstein gallery was to die for. The collection had a lot of range and pieces that I had never seen before. If you're in Chicago, I highly recommend checking it out! It will be up until September 3rd for you travelers.

I also figured that today was the perfect day to break out my red and blue Deena & Ozzy platform sandals! I somehow managed to wear these around all day even though it was only my second wear.

As for the nightfall, I believe we are going to go try and find some fireworks — for watching, I mean. Plans are pretty up in the air! Hope you're having a fun holiday!
