Review // Pure + Remedy

I was contacted by Pure + Remedy back in April to try some of their face serums. Even though I received them a while back, I wanted to use them for a while to give them a fair review.


Vitamin C Serum

This efficient and gentle serum is formulated with carefully chosen fruit and plant acids, along with Vitamins A and E to help the skin retain moisture and protect the skin from environmental damage (especially from dryness). Daily use of this serum will result in firmer, plumper, and radiant skin. Recommend: For best results, apply to the entire face twice daily and follow with your favorite moisturizer. 

This is the product I have used the least out of the three. It's not because I don't like it — the formula seems to be a little thinner than the others, but I just like the other two so much that this one is sort of my "back up" serum for when I run out of the other two. Aside from the consistency, I don't see too much of a difference between this and the others. It makes my skin feel great!

Skin So Bright Skin Brightening Serum

This natural and efficient facial serum is formulated to lighten hyper-pigmentation, fade dark spots and restore skin clarity. Kojic Acid, the active ingredient with skin lightening properties, is delivered to the inner layers of the skin with the aid of MSM, while hyaluronic acid hydrates and moisturizes the skin. Recommend: For best results, apply to the entire face daily and follow with your favorite moisturizer. Use only as directed. Avoid contact with the eyes. It is recommended that prior to exposure to the sun, users cover areas where AHAs have been applied with sunscreen.

I use this product every day. My skin over the past two months has improved drastically — My skin appears to be brighter and more even than it has been with other product. I normally use this with my Boots No 7 moisturizer.

Precious Drops Super Hydrating Serum

This lightweight and fast-absorbing facial serum is loaded with high quality hyaluronic acid that can hold up to 3,000 times its weight in water. Hyaluronic acid in this serum will draw moisture out of the environment and deliver powerful hydration to the skin. This serum is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and for daily use. Daily use of this serum will firm, tone and improve the appearance of the texture of skin and result in a fresher and younger complexion. Recommend: For best results, apply to the entire face and neck twice daily and follow with your favorite moisturizer.

My skin gets really dry. This, in conjunction with the Skin So Bright Serum, has made my face much softer and smoother. What I love about this is that even though it's ultra-moisturizing, my skin never looks oily. It absorbs nicely and keeps my skin moisturized without appearing oily.

On top of that, they come in glass bottles that are small enough for carry-on luggage (totally beneficial because of my travels). So far I've been using the products for two months and still have over 2/3 left. The longevity plus the effectiveness justifies the price.

In the past when I have used serums from Birchbox and other subscription boxes, I've never had the opportunity to use them long enough to see any difference. These work well with my skin — enough so that I want to give the Anti-Blemish Spot Treatment a shot!
