Storm King Motorcycle Trip

I spent my last could days in Philly, well, not in Philly. Todd and I took a motorcycle trip up to Storm King Art Center in New York — taking side roads, it was nearly six hours getting there!

We made various stops along the way — diners, vintage shops, ice cream. When we made it to the hotel, I had two things on my mind: the hot tub and pizza. We got both. It was awesome because we ended up meeting a couple at the hot tub who were also on a motorcycle trip. They had been traveling and were headed back to Quebec. We hung out until our bodies didn't hurt anymore, ordered a pizza, and passed out.

The Storm King Art Center itself was incredible. The only bummer is that it was so hot that we were pretty worn out part way through. This would be such a killer place to visit in autumn when the leaves are changing. Check it out if you find yourself in this area.

On our way back to Philly, we stumbled upon a huge abandoned building and connected barns. We stopped over to take a few photos of the outside, but were unable to get into in — which is fortunate considering some cops rolled up to see what we were up to. They were actually really nice and hit it off with Todd about his bike, so I just wandered the grounds a bit and shot a couple exterior photos.

I'm totally hooked on this motorcycle deal, I'm telling you guys. I really couldn't be happier that I spent my last month and a half on the back of Todd's motorcycle. I hope that the next time we see each other that I'll have my own and we can ride together!
