On Saturday we went to the Randolph Street Market, grabbed some donuts and went out to the suburbs to hang with Todd's family. It was my first time to Naperville — we got some food and hit up some estate and vintage sales where I scored a huge cow skull for $20.
On Sunday we went to the Logan Square Farmer's Market, went shopping in Wicker Park, got horchata milkshakes at Antique Taco, and caught the sunset from the top of the Sears Tower.
On Monday we went downtown, hopped aboard the Chicago Water Taxi, shopped the Mile, and hit up Navy Pier. I figured since we were down there, we may as well be tourists — we rode the ferris wheel and the sky swings!
On Tuesday we started by going to Bang Bang Pie and then hit up the Field Museum for a few hours. We made some really awesome homemade pizza in the evening and relaxed.
On Wednesday we went to the zoo, Lakeview, and Parson's Chicken and Fish. The entire day was totally awesome.
On Thursday we saw Nick Offerman (aka Ron Swanson). On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we took it pretty easy — hit up Cemitas Puebla, Bang Bang again, Pequod's, a punk show, Pilsen fabric stores, and a furniture art show. Before he flew out on Sunday, we went to the Farmer's Market for some small pumpkins. He's coming back for Halloween and I'm super pumped!
