Pop Quiz

Happy Saturday! I saw this little quiz on Little Chief Honeybee and it reminded me of the MySpace days. So if you're new here or maybe just wanna know a bit more, read on!


1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
I check my iPhone — calendar, social media, email. Once I get out of bed, I wash my face and normally get some coffee!

I recently had my phone replaced, so there aren't a ton of photos on it. But this was a whiskey ginger beer with lime that I added Emergen-C to when I had the sniffles. Classy.

3. What TV show are you most excited about returning this Fall?
For some reason, I'm still watching The Walking Dead. I think it has gotten increasingly boring over the past couple of seasons. When does Mad Men come back? When does This is England '90 come out?

4. What is something really popular that you secretly (or not so secretly) loathe?
Pumpkin-flavored everything. I grew up in a small town that was very pumpkin-focused. I love pumpkin. But the influx of fake pumpkin-flavored everything is sort of gross to me.

5. Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
No pets, unfortunately. I really, really want a pet pig.

6. If you could put together one outfit that represents you perfectly, what would it be?
Something versatile — I love basics, especially high waisted skinny black denim and neutrals. I almost always carry a large tote so I can carry around a notebook, a jacket, etc.

7. What is your favorite adult beverage?
Whiskey ginger beer with lime.

8. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
For the past few weeks, I've been addicted to Candy Crush. But I've committed to not spending money on it, so at least I won't end up as one of those people.

9. What are 3 positive words to describe you?
Motivated, aware, resourceful

10. What is your favorite Friday afternoon/evening activity?
I try to stay in during the week and only go out on the weekends. There are some local bars that I'm really into — it's cool knowing so many people in my neighborhood and just running into them out and about.

11. A day in the life: What does you typical day look like?
My days are not consistent whatsoever. I have certain days that I use for buying, thrifting, post office, and other errands. A lot of time I spend writing, both in and out of my apartment, or creating and photographing stuff for the Mini Penny Shop.

12. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
I would love to travel abroad and check out France and Italy. Chicago is the one place I want to be in the states, so the only other place I'd want to live is Europe.

13. You've got a whole day to yourself...what will you do?
Create.

14. Dream job?
I used to think that my previous Social Media Manager position at Urban Outfitters was my dream job — I thought that for a long while. But now that I quit that life, I'm so relieved to discover that blogging full time is so right for me right now. In the future I may seek out other PR and Social Media opportunities, but only if it allows travel and a creative work environment.

15. Least favorite chore?
I hate doing the dishes.

16. When do you most feel like a rock star?
When I complete all of my calendared items two weeks in advance. In art college I was really good at completing assignments early — I love being ahead!

17. What is something you are currently trying to improve within yourself?
My shyness and social awkwardness.
