One of my favorite looks for fall lips is an ombre-to-black lip. BA STAR sent me this Holiday Red Lip Pencil and I knew it'd be great for a black and red combo.
For starters, the lip pencil. I've become quite fond of lip pencils this year and the BA STAR one is great for lining and filling. It's soft and easy to work with, but you'll have to add some additional gloss if you want a really great shine. It has solid staying power, but that introduces one pitfall: it stains. And fast. It really takes some work to get the pinkish traces of this off of your pucker once you remove it. Be prepared!

To create the ombre lip, here's what you need:
- BA STAR Lip Pencil in Holiday Red
- NYX Lipliner in Black Berry (optional)
- ELF Studio lip brush
- Black lipstick or lip tar
- Sheer red lip gloss pencil for blending
Start by thickly lining your lips with black. You can use a lip liner or a lipstick and brush (which I choose to do).
Next, fill the rest of your lip with the lip pencil. Don't skimp!
Then use the sheer lip color to blend.
And BAM. Some killer statement ombre lips! This also looks great with a purple center!
