As we all know, I recently chopped off a lot of my hair. After the initial shock and immediately regret, it has grown on me — one of the main things I love about this bob is how easy it is to style. I can be out of the shower, dried and styled so much faster than before. Don't get me wrong, I'll probably always miss the mermaid locks, but for now, this is a fun change. Check out my favorite hair styling products after the jump.
Organix Moroccan Argon Oil — I have been using this stuff since my hair was long. I typically spray a bit in before drying my hair. Since I bleach my hair, it has a tendency to get dry really quickly. This oil keeps it soft and shiny without feeling greasy.
John Freida Frizz-Ease Finishing Cream — I typically use a tiny bit of this stuff just before heading out the door. It's great for flyways and other unruly bits. I've found that using either this or a tiny bit of wax on the tips of my bangs gives me great texture!
Tresemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo — Dry shampoo is a godsend. This was the first brand I tried about three years ago and have stuck with it. Tresemmé Fresh Start is easily my favorite. It's great for colored hair and for bangs. Seriously. Get this stuff if you haven't already.
NYM Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray — This stuff is great for creating texture. When combined with a little bit of heat, it gives some awesomely-perfect disheveledness. The only con is that it can be really drying on my hair, so beware of that. I'm curious to try their texturizing cream, though. Do you guys have any experience with it?
Toni&Guy Creative Style Spray Wax — I've actually had a hard time finding a decent spray wax over the years and was elated to find this at Target. Even better, I love it. It has a great price point and the texture it gives me is awesome. Perfect for every day!
Poo Poo Hair Powder — This is actually the in-house brand for a salon local to Philadelphia, American Mortals, and this hair powder was gifted to me during my time at Urban. There are similar drugstore brands like BigSexyHair and Got2B, both of which I've found to be equally effective. These are great to use if you're looking to put some volume and oomph to your roots. Great for long and short hair!
Any Minis out there with awesome product recommendations? Let me know!
