I recently received the Holiday Smokey Eye Palette in the post the other day from Studio Gear Cosmetics. As I've mentioned time and time again, I normally don't wear a lot of eyeshadow. I love smokey eyes but rarely do them!
In this palette, you get four eyeshadows and one blush. They're all pretty shimmery, but I was disappointed to find out that they were quite sheer — therefore probably not the best option for creating dramatic smokey eyes.

Still, I did a subtle smokey eye using ELF eyelid primer in pearl to start. I layered on the lighter colors and used the dark "coal" on my creases. I used a black gel liner on my waterline and to create a cat eye. Definitely not my standard look, but fun nonetheless!
Pros:
● Nice how-to in the packaging
● Good color concept
Cons:
● Very sheer, even when applied over primer.
● Colorful outside packaging is a sleeve you have to remove before using the product. Actual product packaging is a cheap, greyscale coated cardboard.
● Too sparkly for my personal taste, but could suit others!
You can get 10% off of this palette at Studio Gear when you use the code SGHOLIDAY at checkout.
