I recently picked up a new brand (to me) of Matte Topcoat — American Apparel. For years, I've been loving Essie's Matte About You, but I had to use up a gift card and did so on this topcoat.
Anyway, Essie's Matte About You is a fantastic matte surface in my opinion. The American Apparel Matte Topcoat is ...okay. It's somewhere between a matte and a gloss. I would almost call it a satin finish. It's not one that I would buy again, but works well for this manicure and might be part of some fun projects in the future.
What's your favorite matte topcoat?
