As a part of Mini Penny's blog birthday, I'm taking a look back at one of my first series — The 30 Day Fashion Challenge. Check back every day for a look at how big of a difference three years can make!
Up until recently, I haven't owned many dresses. I'm normally more comfortable with separates. However, as I'm beginning to learn (derp), layering dresses is an easy way to double my wardrobe. For now I'm sticking to basics and maxis (and I went a little crazy the other day and bought one with a bunny print on it... more on that later) and slowly incorporating them into my closet.

Also, uhh, I've been bad. I haven't dyed my hair in a little over the month. It's sort of faded to this greyish-periwinkle color. I like it, but I miss my lavender. I feel like things have been so hectic lately that I haven't had the opportunity to get many 'me' things done.
Otherwise, we had another warm day yesterday in Chicago. I think we're supposed to drop again this weekend (I'm crying over here), but we all have our fingers crossed that it will be the last of it. Oh please. Seriously. I can't take the cold any longer.

But stepping out in some sandals today was nice. CatFootwear is launching this new line today and they were rad enough to send these over. Coincidentally, these are the Penny in Grapeleaf. Fitting, right?

Are you more of a dress or separates type of person?
