First of all, a big thanks to Nylon Magazine for sending me to Lollapalooza this weekend! It was super last-minute and a pleasant surprise! If any of you came to Chicago for the event, or are local and went down to Grant Park, I hope you had a great time.
Truth be told, I haven't been to Lollapalooza in ten years. Thinking about that makes me feel old. See, last time I went, they were touring it to various cities. I saw the Columbus, Ohio, stop when I was in high school — I was stoked to see The Donnas and Queens of the Stone Age at the time. I'm not much of a festival person (honestly, it's the heavy crowds that make me a little claustrophobic), but I was excited to finally give this one a shot with my city's beautiful skyline as the backdrop.
Spoiler: I don't own a flower crown. But I did bust out a wide-brimmed hat to keep the sun from scorching my shaved head. Plus, I basically bathed myself in sunscreen.
Saturday was gorgeous. I braved the all-white outfit. I didn't take the time to see any acts on Saturday, instead I ate food and met up with old friends and lounged. It was great.
