For starters, I have been really amped on this Disney trip for a while now. Brock and I flew down to Florida last week to visit his mom and then drove three hours to hang out with a couple of cool mice (among others). Finding outfits that were comfy in the humidity of the south and yet still appropriate for walking around for fifteen hours at an amusement park was fun — and gave me a chance to enjoy summer one last time before Chicago delves into the cold temperatures.

I hadn't been to Animal Kingdom since it first opened in around 1999. I remember it being one of my favorite parks as a kid (because, duh, animals). Brock and I were a little sad that they had the Tree of Life blocked off for repair, but had a great time at the rest of the park. Given the small crowd and lack of wait times, we were through it quickly enough to head onto the Magic Kingdom by 2pm.

Truth be told, I hardly took any photos at Disney. Brock and I were having so much phone that I simply forgot my phone and camera existed.

Something we did do though was buy ticket's for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is an after hours event at the Magic Kingdom. It was amazing! I highly recommend it for anyone who loves Halloween and is at Disney World before Oct 31st. The entire park was decked out in pumpkins and fall colors. Definitely one of my favorite times of year!
Have you ever been to Disney? What's your favorite park or ride? My favorite is Space Mountain and it's a tie between Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom!
