Packing for a motorcycle trip can be minimal enough — but considering doing so and having to try to squeeze in some formal-esque attire in for a wedding! I love this dress and I am always excited to wear it. With some careful planning, I was able to pack it without damage in the saddle bag! Sure, there's an old (dumb) rule about "not wearing black to weddings," but it's 2015 and it seems as though that archaic fashion idea has gone by the wayside.
For starters, the area was beautiful! It was on the brides' family's farm — rich with small rolling hills, old barns, and plenty of greenery. The floral arrangements all included sunflowers (squee!). And even inside the bar, there was space for post-ceremony milk and cookies and some live music. What a great way to highlight the old rustic details of this lovely place!
Oh yeah, and dogs!
How perfect is this weaving at the neckline of this dress? I love that it actually fits my smaller chest and has this incredible detail. And if there's one thing a motorcycle trip to northern Wisconsin taught me, it's that I need more fringe.
The bag is actually my trust hip bag — I made a temporary strap out of some leather cord, and it converted perfectly for a small place to stash my camera and phone!

And the weather didn't "hold out" well, but we had a great time. Even a bonfire in the rain!
