Admittedly, the space I now occupy in my guy's two-bedroom apartment is really small and awkward. I moved in a couple months ago and, albeit temporary, I'm trying to find a way to make my office organized and manageable in the interim. One of my biggest struggles is always organizing my cosmetics — I get a grasp on it for a short time, but the items I really want to use need to be easier for me to access and easy for me to put away when I'm done, or else the whole system becomes a mess. Enter the Caboodles!
Did you have Caboodles growing up? I had a teal glitter version that I used for ages and loved dearly. In fact, I'm not even sure what happened to it. I was excited to find this larger train case at my local Target – it's downplayed and still has all of the necessary compartments to keep my makeup tidy. Very grown-up, wouldn't you agree? :)
I love these shelves that fold out! They are so perfect for smaller items like lipsticks and compacts.
See what I mean? My Colourpop Matte Lips fit perfectly. I dedicated an entire side of this Caboodles to my lip colors and allowed the middle and left sides for eyes and face. The lower compartment is really large and is perfect for big palettes and tools.
It's so convenient having everything laid out flat. Now when I get ready every day, the makeup I need is visible and isn't hiding under a pile of everything-else. It also helps me keep from getting out-of-hand with my makeup purchases. I now have a "space limit" to keep myself in! ;)
And the very best part...?
When I'm finished, it all folds up and closes into a simple, minimal case. It's easy for storage and easy for travel.
