There are so many ways to relax. Personally, I can really get down with unplugging, cleaning, reading, and listening to music. I didn't make any resolutions this year — but I have a busy schedule and I enjoy taking some "me time" every now and again.
First of all, unplugging. I use my phone, tablet, and computer every day. I love Pinterest and Tumblr and reading blogs and other articles for inspiration. Sometimes it's nice to disconnect and read some magazines for a change. Taking it another step further, I like to snip out my favorite photos, outfitting, and interior designs to create moldboards for future projects. There's something so satisfying about having a tangible project!
There's a Jewel-Osco near my home (also, I'm moving soon, so stay tuned for lots of fun new photos of my new apartment!), so I often find myself buying magazines. One of my favorites is Real Simple, and occasionally I pick up a fashion magazine like InStyle.
Cuddling up on the couch with a heated blanket and coffee is one of my favorite ways to beat the blues and relax. It's great to pull out recipes and style inspiration for the upcoming month!
And of course, one of my satisfying ways of relaxing is cleaning. I love cleaning. Tidy homes make my heart all a-flutter! Real Simple had a wonderful article to help kick start a closet cleanup. I consider myself a pro at purging, but really loved the extra tips in this month's issue.
