Pinstripes + Snakeskin // Corso Como Bootie Giveaway

Snakeskin Boots and Pinstripe Longline Blazer - Mini Penny Blog
I love spending winter days inside Chicago museums. I went to the Art Institute of Chicago to see the Krishna exhibit before it ended yesterday. I love the space of this building — it's so beautiful and clean and filled to the brim with inspiration. To reflect, I wore a minimal outfit highlighted with these leather Corso Como snakeskin Simba boots. Luckily for you, Mini Penny Blog and Corso Como are partnering to giveaway one pair of these to a lucky reader! Click through for more info of the outfit, the giveaway, and to see a few of my favorite shots of the museum.

One thing I love to do is search the museum for inspiration — especially patterns for nail art. Is that weird? Maybe it seems a little strange to take these beautiful, historic pieces and translate them into something as temporary as nail art, but I really love seeing what I can come up with. I took plenty of photos of old Japanese woodblocks and the Krishna paintings from their exhibit so I could replicate some of the patterns used. I'll be sharing some of those in upcoming weeks!

Beyond those beautiful patterns, the space itself is fantastic. One of my favorite permanent collections are the marble statues and Renaissance paintings.

Is there an art museum where you live? When I lived in Columbus, we had a great one, and when I lived in Philly is somehow never made it to the art museum. What the f*k?! I blew it. It's definitely on my list of places to see next time I visit Philly.
