Cloud Nine

The Grommet Dress

I swoon over the Mugler grommet dresses from a few years ago (Pre-FW15 & FW15), but they're obviously far out of my price range. There are plenty of inspired dresses out there, but this particular one struck me because the material feels like a soft pair of fleece-lined tights. Even though this dress is sexy, it's comfortable and heck and is keeping me warm today.

The Velvet Slip

My favorite part of winter is layering up with soft and textured pieces. On a rainy day, this velvet slip was a perfectly comfortable way to spend the afternoon wandering a museum.

Happy Birthday, Bowie

The late and great David Bowie was and continues to be one of my favorite musicians and fashion icons. This past Halloween, I did a fun DIY costume based on his 1974 "Rebel Rebel" performance. RIP Starman. We miss you.

Happy 2017

How did you celebrate the new year? I put on the best velvet pants and went to a disco party.

Blank Slates

2016 is over and the new year presents us with a fresh start. I'm looking forward to all of the opportunities to grow in 2017. Here's to a new year, a new fluffy coat, a new hair color, and a blank slate.
