This week I tried out a few products from Vichy. Although I have completely switched over to oil cleansing, I still use Micellar water and other cosmetics almost daily. Click through to see my thoughts on these three products and links to where you can pick them up for yourself!
❖ Vichy Mineral 89 — This product claims to have all types of benefits like minerals, protecting your skin from stress and pollution, and boosting your skin's moisture and strength. I used this on days that I decided to go makeup-free (which seems like is most days lately!) and it felt more like a nice makeup primer than anything. I did like that it wasn't sticky or shiny — more like a gel that made my skin nice and soft. I didn't see any long-lasting benefits with the Mineral 89, but if I was just running out the door for some errands, this seemed to help give my skin appear to have smaller pores for the time being.
❖ Vichy Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 Micellar Water — I'm not sure I've spoken much about Micellar water here, but I switched over to it about a year-year and a half ago and it has been such a life saver for removing my stubborn makeup. I normally use Garnier, but loved how the Vichy left my skin feeling after using it! I would say that this Micellar Water is my favorite of the three products and I look forward to using it more.
❖ Vichy Liftactiv Supreme — Truth be told, I'm aging. And I'm generally okay with that. I used the Liftactiv Supreme, which claims to instantly smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and found that I didn't see those results for myself. Even after regular usage, I didn't see much change. The texture is rich and it does feel great on my skin, though! It's something I could see myself carrying in my travel bag to use on the road.
Overall I do like the Vichy brand. In the future, I'd lean more towards trying their Double Glow Facial Peel Mask or Idéal Soleil Sunscreen! Do you use any Vichy products?
