Many of you have been hearing the stories of my three-month long saga with attempting to adopt a dog through various Chicago rescues. It's cut throat for small dogs — they get adopted so quickly. My negative experiences with ~ten rescues had me discouraged. The rescues I went through were so unfairly picky, non-responsive, and non-disclosing of health concerns that I felt like it was never going to happen. One week ago, I found this 3-year-old girl at the
Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society and fell in love. They made it incredibly easily and stress-free to bring her home and I can't give them enough praise.
Say hello to Opal!
