Today I'm so excited to share this simple DIY for a custom pom pom bag. We've been seeing these everywhere over the past couple of months and even though there are a lot go great ones available, I wanted my very own special color way. Click through to see the easy instructions!
Do you ever feel really cute, take a selfie, and then notice something is a little off? Yeah, I noticed Opal being super weird right at the last moment. Gotta love this little fluff.
When I was in elementary school, I though side-striped jeans were so cool. I definitely credit Sporty Spice for that one. I scored these at the thrift store — they were unflattering bootcuts, so I altered them to make a comfy kick flare! Earlier this week I decided to style them with for hanging out with Nike Air Society and Glossier. Click through for more details.
I had the pleasure of attending brunch today with Laura Geller NY! I was so excited to wear this amazing two piece pant and top set. They are vintage pieces that I thrifted last week and altered to make the top into a crop. I am absolutely over the moon with the color combo and plan on wearing this set well into next season! Since it's now one-of-a-kind, I've linked some of my other favorite Co-Ord sets for you to shop. Hope you're having a great week!
We're officially in the dog days and what better way to get through than with Opal, a snack, and a new pair of sunnies. I hope you all have a happy and fun weekend!
Okay, I couldn't pass up this Target x Museum of Ice Cream collection. Sure, it's for kids, but hey. They're just too good. This short and shirt set is from the boys' section. I cropped the shorts and used the extra fabric to make a banana bandana (banandana?) for Opal. Who's ready for a sundae?
Some say pink is my color! A few months ago I decided to start redecorating my kitchen — I blame the Target Opalhouse collection! I saw this removable wallpaper and imagined how beautiful it would look in my kitchen. It worked out great, and what started as a small project turned into a larger one. Would y'all be interested in seeing my home redecoration?
I'm normally a bralette woman. In the past I have found that my traditional bras have been uncomfortable or just didn't fit right. I though it was me and my body, but then I tried Upbra. Through their website and measuring tools, I discovered that I've been wearing the wrong size bra all along. Not only do I now have the right size, but these miracle bras give me a little extra lift and cleavage on days that my outfit just needs it. See my before and afters and more info about their measuring tools after the jump!
Finally! Another nail post. I totally skipped over the June Scratch Nails (the wraps weren't my cup of tea, but you can scoop them up here if you want!), but the May wraps were amazing! Of course, I love all things plant and palm, so these were perfect for summer manis.
You can find me weaving between the palms and daydreaming of Cali days. I am excited to be partnering with GANT to style some of their beautiful shirts this season — and even more excited to tell you how to you can get 20% off your next GANT order! Beyond that, last week I visited the new Alexandra Marks Jewelry store in Wicker Park and got myself some new beautiful earrings. If you're in Chicago, I have some summer savings for you there, too! Happy National Ice Cream Day! Opal and I had to go get a strawberry cone to manage this heat (psst, "it's melting, Ma!"). How are y'all getting through the summer?
Last weekend one of my best friends got married! It was outdoors in Wisconsin on a beautiful piece of farmland and I was so excited to wear this plant-printed maxi dress from Metisu. It took me a surprisingly long time to find yellow block heeled sandals (I have stilettos but I was worried about sinking into the earth!) but ended up with these DSW beauties. It ended up being the perfect comfortable look for a hot summer wedding.
I'm excited to partner today with Sephora inside JCPenney to bring you the new Urban Decay Born To Run collection! The palette is satisfying and diverse with a lot of achievable looks for when you're on the go. Click through to see the details about how I created this look and how you can win your very own Urban Decay Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette!
I hope you all had a great day yesterday! I normally don't dress up in theme for the Fourth of July, but I found these shorts at a thrift store this week and couldn't say no!
