The MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer is the best primer for this foundation. There are ten versions! Since my skin has been more on the dry side lately, I created today's look using the Step 1 Skin Equalizer in Nourishing.
I'm a sucker for good tools and the MAKE UP FOREVER Artisan Brush #108 is perfect for quickly and evenly applying foundation. Then you can go back in with your beauty sponge and blend! I love the finish achieved with this technique.

First I applied the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Skin Booster serum to clean skin. I follow that up with the Step 1 Skin Equalizer in Hydrating, using my fingers to get even coverage to prime and prep my skin!
I'm a big fan of the dotting and blending technique — I apply small dots of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Matte Velvet Skin on each area of my face and then use the Artisan Brush to cover evenly. I blend it out with a beauty sponge.
The coverage of this foundation is absolutely wonderful, and as a person who has a lot of pink undertones, I sometimes have trouble getting a good match. I was happy to discover a fair foundation with a subtle pink undertone. This product really compliments the best parts of my complexion while providing great coverage for my imperfections! The best part is that I'm able to make it through the whole day without caking or flaking — which is a big deal for me when I'm working face-to-face with clients or even out shooting for an entire day.
