It's comfort food season. When urbanbelly invited me to come try their fall menu, I couldn't say no — ramen and pho are easily some of my favorite warm-me-up foods! Their fall menu boasts a katsu udon noodle dish — however, they were all out of their udon when I came in. I guess it's just that good! As much as I love udon, I was just as happy to have it with their ramen noodles instead. It was delicious and full of flavor. On top of that, it was a lot of food, so I was able to take some home to enjoy the next day.
You can't put it past me to skip dumplings or kimchi, so we got one of each to try. I think my favorite was the edamame dumpling! My boyfriend went with the phat style rice and it was amazing. I low-key am obsessed with that lemongrass chicken!
Most people familiar with Wicker Park know this location — there's a beautiful, bright mural on the side! For years I have been meaning to take photos here and somehow only got around to doing it today.
The icing on the cake? Their PB&J soft serve. I've had this before and was looking forward to it again. My favorite part are the crispies inside the peanut butter! It's so good and all of the flavors are light and balanced.
