I love Palm Springs. It's been a few years since I've been here, but I'm so excited that we started our vacation on this note. We flew into Palm Springs so that we could spend our first day exploring this dreamy little city — I am in love with the architecture, plants, and all-around vintage vibes.

There's so much great shopping in Palm Springs, including the Shops at Thirteen Forty Five. There is a vintage or vintage-inspired store on what feels like almost every street! Everything has quite a bit of character here and it's hard not to enjoy every second.

I somehow had never been to the Moorten Botanical Garden. It's such a magical place and it's certainly going to be a regular visit from now on! We went early in the morning and it was pretty empty. I highly recommend it!

After a day of walking around, shopping, and enjoying the pool at ARRIVE, we decided to check out some colorful doors just before sunset. I'm so cautious about not disturbing people's homes, so we didn't do it for long — but I did see quite a few that I loved. There are self guided maps for door tours online or you can sign up to take an official one!

Overall, I'd say we started our California trip on the right foot. Nothing beats the sunset behind the palms and peaks. Have you been to Palm Springs? What's your favorite spot?
